The WLx is a popular radon and thoron working level measurement monitor. This monitor used proven, integrated solid state detector technology to detect alpha particles from radon and thoron progeny decay. The built in multi-channel analyzer circuitry and firmware allows the monitor to calculate radon, thoron, and their progeny in working levels (WL). The WLx is portable and easy to use.
CRM-1 Active Radiation Monitor
The CRM-1 is a popular industrial radon monitor that is used to actively monitor radon in process gases. The CRM-1 also uses proven photomultiplier tube (PMT) technology to detect photons generated by the supplied Lucas type active scintillation cell detector. This monitor incorporates a lockable chassis that is designed for inclement weather conditions. It is designed to be mounted on a surface such as a wall. It is easy to use.
CRM-2 Passive Radiation Monitor
The CRM-2 is a popular industrial radon monitor that is used to passively monitor radon over an area. The CRM-2 also uses proven photomultiplier tube (PMT) technology to detect photons generated by the supplied Lucas type passive scintillation cell detector. This monitor also incorporates a lockable chassis that is designed for inclement weather conditions. It is also designed to be mounted on a surface such as a wall. It is also easy to use.
CPRD / CPC / 200P Passive Cells
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division passive cells are Lucas type scintillation cells. Passive cells are primarily used for area monitoring in continuous mode. The atmosphere that contains radon and / or thoron gas passively diffuses into the cell.
Pylon also offers non standard versions of these cells including variants that are designed to detect high radon and thoron activity levels. (e.g., 20,000,000 pCi.)
110A / 300A / 200A Active Cells
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division active cells are Lucas type scintillation cells. Active cells are used for grab sampling, continuous monitoring, sniffing, etc. The atmosphere or sample that contains radon and / or thoron gas is actively placed into the cell.
Pylon also offers non standard versions of these cells including variants that are designed to detect high radon and thoron activity levels. (e.g., 20,000,000 pCi.)
TEL Environmental Level Detector
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division offers the model TEL - Trace Environmental Level detector that detects trace levels of radon. This detector is normally used for monitoring outdoor or very low level environments. It may be used for grab sampling or continuous monitoring.
This detector is designed for use with the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors and requires an external photomultiplier tube (Ext PMT) [Both sold separately] to complete the minimum required system.
WT-A / WT-B / WT-AB Wipe Test Adapter Detectors
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division offers a series of wipe test adapter detectors. These detectors allow the User to measure alpha and / or beta radiation from wipes or swipes with the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors [Sold separately].
SA / SB / SAB Surface Detectors
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division offers a series of surface detectors. These detectors allow the User to measure alpha and / or beta radiation over a surface to find "hot spots" with the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors.
These detectors are designed for use with the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors and requires an external photomultiplier tube (Ext PMT) [Both sold separately] to complete the minimum required system.
AEP-47 / BEP-47 Working Level Detectors
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division offers 2 working level detectors that allow the User to measure alpha or beta radiation using the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors [Sold separately]. The working level (WL) can be calculated from the results.
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division offers the model 503 detector. This detector allows the User to measure alpha radiation on filters with the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors [Sold separately].
Pylon's Instrument Manufacturing Division offers the model GB - Gamma / Beta Probe that detects gamma and beta radiation. It may be used for comparative measurements or continuous monitoring.
This detector is designed for use with the Pylon model AB-5 series of monitors and requires an external photomultiplier tube (Ext PMT) [Both sold separately] to complete the minimum required system.
The 3150A and 4250A are two sealed, passive radon check sources that are designed to assist with the operating point determination of Pylon and other monitors. These check sources use the same geometry as the Pylon Lucas type scintillation cell detectors.
The AM-241 is a passive Americium 241 disk alpha source. The WLx-AM is the AM-241 disk source mounted in a holder that is designed to mount to the WLx. The WLx-AM is used to verify the operation of the WLx.
The RN-150 is an active radon gas source that can dispense precise quantities of radon gas. The design allows for multiple samples to be obtained from the unit. This source may be used to provide radon gas to sealed detectors to allow for the calibration and verification of various monitors.
The RN-190 and TH-190 are passive radon and thoron daughter sources respectively. Each offers geometric and spectroscopic characteristics that are virtually identical to a filtered air sample. The exposed filters obtained from these sources allow the for calibration and verification of various monitors.
The RGS series of sources are sealed gamma sources that use radium as the source material. This general purpose source may be used for the calibration and alignment of gamma spectroscopy systems.
The 2000A is a small, general purpose, passive radon source. It may be used to provide radon gas for sealed enclosures.
The 1025 and RNC are general purpose, flow through sources. The RN-1025 and RNC are radon sources while the TH-1025 is a thoron source. The 1025 sources are available in a wide variety and range of activities.
